WAEC 2025 results have thrown the entire nation into shock, with Nigerians calling out the examination body after a massive drop in performance.
According to WAEC, only 38% of candidates got five credits, including English and Maths — a huge fall from 72.12% in 2024, making it the worst result in recent history!
On X (formerly Twitter), Nigerians didn’t hold back:
Richard Ayo-Dairo PhD (@RArakunrin) fumed:
“Nobody is talking about the WAEC 2025 Midnight English Language exam. This disaster is rooted there. Someone must be held accountable for jeopardizing the future of our nation!”
Femi Organ (@FemiOrgan) added:
“Most students can’t even speak proper English, let alone write it. Abbreviations and social media have finished them. This is beyond WAEC – it’s a national problem.”
Meanwhile, malpractice surprisingly dropped from 11.92% to 2.17% — thanks to the new Computer-Based Testing (CBT) for subjects like English, Maths, Biology, and Economics.
Now, angry parents, students, and educators are demanding answers, while the education crisis trend keeps heating up online.
