Vice President Kashim Shettima recently paid a private visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari in London, where he is currently receiving medical treatment.
Reports indicate that Buhari was previously admitted to intensive care but has since stabilized and is now recovering.
According to Daily Trust, Shettima flew into London on the night of Sunday, June 29, and visited Buhari the following morning, Monday, June 30. During the same trip, he also stopped by to see former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar.
When asked about the visit and why it wasn’t made public, Stanley Nkwocha, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications (Office of the Vice President), confirmed the trip but described it as strictly personal.
