A shocking video has surfaced online showing an 18-year-old Nigerian girl, believed to be an SS3 student, smoking weed during her birthday celebration at school.
Dressed in her school uniform, the girl was surrounded by classmates who encouraged her to take 18 puffs—one for each year—as they sang the birthday song.
The video, which has gone viral, has drawn widespread concern about peer pressure and teenage behavior. Despite appearing innocent, the girl’s actions have raised alarm about what students may engage in outside parental view.
Social media user Gboyega Olokunbola, who shared the clip, urged parents to stay closer to their children. He emphasized that while many youths seem well-behaved at home, they often act differently around their peers. He also called for increased prayers and proactive involvement from parents, especially with the challenges facing today’s Gen Z generation.
Sharing the intriguing video online, he wrote; “This is Troubling and Disturbing. Parents get closer to your Children. We need more Prayers and Actions on this so called GenZ set. Majority of them are Quiet at home Pretending to be Good Children to their Parents.
This is supposed to be a young Promising Girl celebrating 18years Old Birthday by Smoking Weed in such a reckless manner, COPIED ✅👏 .We really as parents must be intentional about our children, our youth needs close monitoring ✅👏🙏.”
