A video which surfaced online shows the moment huge piles of money were being packed into sacks for supposed relocation.
The monies which were stored in N1000 denomination were being arranged for onward packing and movement.
GISTLOVER is yet to ascertain where the clip was recorded or for what purpose the monies are meant, however, it was reported that they decided to remove the large cash which was hidden in the house, following CBN’s move to redesign the naira.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) announced days ago that iy will start circulating newly redesigned N200, N500, and N1000 naira notes from December 15, 2022.
The CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele made this known during a special briefing, where he noted that naira notes were redesigned following approval by the Federal Government.
