Activist Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has started his new monthly cleanup project, called the Ratel Movement. The goal is simple: to get regular people to help clean up their cities and fill in for poor public sanitation.
The first cleanup was a big success in several cities. Large crowds swept streets and cleared trash in places like Lagos, where celebrities Jojo and Jarvis joined in. Port Harcourt had a huge number of volunteers, and teams in Abuja cleared a big, dirty dump site in Gwarimpa.
