Content creator Izzy Ogbeide has finally addressed the passing of Ruth Otabor, younger sister of Big Brother Naija star Phyna.
Ogbeide, who had earlier gone live with Phyna to appeal for support after Ruth was left critically injured in a crash involving a Dangote truck, released a new video on Sunday, August 31. This time, she directed her message at social critic Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan.
She accused him of shifting public sympathy away from Phyna and her family with his commentary on the matter.
VeryDarkMan had previously claimed that Phyna demanded ₦1 billion in compensation from the Dangote Group, insisting her family deserved justice. He also alleged that she turned the case into a money issue while neglecting the motorcyclist injured in the same accident. In response, Phyna branded him a manipulator and liar.
Defending the reality star, Ogbeide explained that Phyna only reached out to him as a brother and never asked him to attack Dangote.
“You removed sympathy from the family, Phyna. You caused people to hate her. People were calling a stressed woman a betrayer. You just have to fight because you are not in the forefront. She only cried out to you that bro, see what I am going through. She didn’t say help me drag Dangote. I hope you are happy with yourself,” Ogbeide stated in the video.
After posting the video, she locked the comment section, preventing followers from reacting.
