“VDM Is Just a Content Creator” – Onye Obodo Accuses VeryDarkMan of Promoting Fake iPhone

  • Onye Obodo has criticised VeryDarkMan, accusing him of hypocrisy for allegedly promoting a fake iPhone instead of calling it out, saying the move proves he is now just a content creator.
  • According to him, the VeryDarkMan of the past would have publicly condemned such an act, but instead chose to promote it.

A social media user identified as Onye Obodo has criticised popular online personality VeryDarkMan (VDM), accusing him of abandoning his earlier stance as a social justice advocate in favour of content creation and promotion.

In a strongly worded statement shared online, Onye Obodo referenced a recent controversy involving Blord and the alleged sale of a fake iPhone 17. According to him, the VeryDarkMan of the past would have publicly condemned such an act, but instead chose to promote it.

“The VeryDarkMan of before would have called out Blord for selling a fake iPhone 17, which is wrong, immoral and promotes inferiority complex. Instead, VDM joined him and started promoting the same fake iPhone. That’s when I realized VDM is just a content creator and nothing more,” Onye Obodo wrote.

The comment has since sparked debate online, with some users agreeing that VDM has drifted from his original activist posture, while others defended him, arguing that content creation and advocacy can coexist.
