Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has voiced support for businessman Blord, criticising what he described as selective justice in the handling of recent controversies.

In a statement circulating online, Sowore expressed strong opposition to what he termed oppression, while referencing ongoing issues involving Blord and social media personality VeryDarkMan.

“I håtè oppression. Imagine charging BLORD over Ratel copyright, yet VeryDarkMan also impersønat€d the Nigerian Police by wearing a uniform, and we still stood for him then,” he said.

Sowore further stated his intention to stand for Blord’s freedom, framing the situation as an example of inconsistency in how similar actions are treated.

In other news… Nigerian social media personality VeryDarkMan has dismissed allegations linking him to a planned protest, stating that he has no affiliation with any political group.

In a statement shared online, he revealed that the Department of State Services (DSS) contacted him over claims that he had been contracted by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to lead a protest aimed at causing unrest in the country.

“DSS called me this morning and told me that they heard that I’ve been contracted by ADC to lead a protest, hereby causing unrest in the country. I’m not partisan and I’m not supporting ADC anywhere, I don’t care who’s there and who’s running and I’m not planning any protest. I also don’t support APC or PDP,” he said.

VeryDarkMan further clarified that he is not aligned with any political party, including the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

His statement comes amid heightened political sensitivity and speculation around protests and civic actions across the country.
