Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has broken his silence over rumours connecting him to the alleged marital crisis between former BBNaija stars Bambam and Teddy A.
Talk of trouble in the couple’s marriage began after observant fans noticed that the two reality TV personalities had unfollowed each other on social media. The move quickly sparked concern online, with many speculating that their union might have hit the rocks.
Bambam, however, seemed to dismiss the claims shortly after by sharing a post in which she visibly wore her wedding ring, a gesture many interpreted as proof that her marriage was still intact.
The controversy intensified when an X user identified as Stay Wicked alleged that Bambam’s marriage had collapsed because she was reportedly pregnant for Uzor Arukwe. The user further claimed that Teddy A found out about the alleged pregnancy through a leaked chat. In addition, the post included derogatory comments about women, which triggered outrage across the platform.
As the claims circulated widely and drew mixed reactions, Arukwe responded firmly, denying any romantic involvement with Bambam. He made it clear that their relationship is purely professional and described the allegations as false and damaging.
The actor also disclosed that the person behind the viral post had been identified and cautioned that the individual could face legal consequences for spreading what he called baseless rumours. According to him, making such serious accusations online can attract severe penalties, especially when reputations and families are affected.
He further stressed his intention to use the situation as a deterrent to others who engage in defamation for attention. Urging social media users to respect boundaries, Arukwe warned against chasing clout at the expense of other people’s lives and careers.
He wrote: “A specific account has been identified to spread false rumors and baseless accusations about me and my professional engagement with another colleague in the industry. I choose not to quote the account directly, as I refuse to give such accounts the engagement they seek at the risk of jail time. Believe me when I say this: that individual will be made a scapegoat so others learn to respect boundaries and refrain from chasing clout and Elon Musk money at the expense of damaging someone else’s reputation.”
Following his statement, several fans and supporters took to social media to back him up, expressing anger over the allegations and insisting that the accuser should be held responsible. Some users also pointed out that the viral post failed to use the word “allegedly,” noting that presenting the claims as facts could strengthen any legal action taken.
Others applauded Arukwe for responding quickly and safeguarding his reputation.
Amid the ongoing online discussions, Bambam’s subtle show of her wedding ring has continued to spark conversation, with many seeing it as reassurance about her marriage to Teddy A. Although neither Bambam nor Teddy A has officially confirmed any marital issues, the situation remains a hot topic across social media platforms.
