Update on Sanwo-Olu’s COVID-19 Status.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is responding well to treatment the Lagos State government has revealed, after testing positive for COVID-19.
The State Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi gave the update in a statement on Sunday evening where he added that the Governor is in high spirits.
“Governor of Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is responding well to COVID-19 home-based care and treatment. He is in high spirit and very appreciative of all your prayers and well wishes.
“I will be keeping the public informed regularly of Mr Governor’s recovery and wellbeing,” the Commissioner stated.
Recall Sanwo-Olu went on self-isolation after one of his close aides had tested positive for COVID-19. The Governor was later confirmed to have tested positive to the virus himself following the release of his own test result.
