Residents disclosed that the body was discovered at about 5:20 p.m. on Friday at the new site of Palmgroove Community Development Association (CDA) in the Sotubo area of Ogun State. Eyewitnesses said the deceased bears a strong resemblance to Ayoola Ayanwale, who had been declared wanted following the killing of his wife.
According to accounts from the area, items recovered near the body included identity cards and bottles containing substances suspected to be poisonous, including Sniper. Witnesses also reported seeing a foamy substance coming from the mouth of the deceased, raising suspicions of possible poisoning.
As of the time of this report, authorities have not officially confirmed the identity of the body, and efforts are ongoing to obtain a formal statement from the Ogun State Police Command.
