Chisom, a Nigerian woman living in the United Kingdom, has shared a throwback photo of the modest one-bedroom home she and her husband lived in at the start of their marriage.
She revealed that at the time, their bedroom contained only a mattress, a TV, a fridge, and a sound system — yet she was genuinely happy.
Chisom added that it was in that same room they conceived their first child, making it a place filled with cherished memories despite its simplicity.
“This room, is where my husband and I started. My husband was living in this one bedroom when we got married. It was in area 11 Abuja. I was happy as you can see from the picture. On the other side was a TV, fridge and a sound system,” she wrote.
“I got pregnant with my first child in this room but by the time we came back from Enugu to Abuja after my final year, my husband has moved into a two bedroom flat in Garki cos he wanted his family to be more comfortable
“My husband and I have actually gone through almost EVERY STAGE of GROWTH together.
“We are still growing oo but we have grown SO MUCH by God’s grace
“This post brought so many memories back to me honestly, I just want to cry.
“My husband is actually very sweet man ah! God will continue to bless him.
