In other news, Billionaire businessman and father of singer Davido, Dr Deji Adeleke, is set to commission a 1,250MW power plant in Ondo State by January 2025. The massive project, said to be one of the largest privately-owned power plants in Nigeria, is expected to generate about 15% of the country’s electricity.
Adeleke revealed the plant faced setbacks, including a $5 million turbine theft and regulatory delays, but confirmed it is now nearing completion.
