Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey has launched Sun Day, a wellness app that tracks sun exposure and estimates vitamin D intake.
The app uses location data to monitor UV levels, skin type, and clothing to help users manage sunlight exposure.
It also provides sunrise/sunset times, cloud cover, and personalized burn limits.
This comes shortly after his launch of Bitchat, an app that works without internet access.
Menwhile GISTLOVER earlier reported that Jack Dorsey, co-founder of Twitter and CEO of Block, has unveiled a new messaging app called Bitchat, designed to function without internet access.
Bitchat runs on Bluetooth Low Energy mesh networks, allowing nearby devices to connect directly for secure, peer-to-peer communication.
One standout feature of the app is its full offline functionality, making it ideal for locations with poor or no internet service.
Messages are fully end-to-end encrypted, stored only on users’ devices, and automatically erased after a short time to protect privacy.
The app creates Bluetooth clusters among nearby devices, enabling messages to hop from one device to another as people move around—extending the communication range beyond typical Bluetooth limits. Users who are offline will receive pending messages once they reconnect.
