- Actresses Toyin Abraham and Tiwa Savage defended Toke, with Toyin issuing a Yoruba curse on the commenter and Tiwa calmly advising them to delete the post

Toke Makinwa’s joyful pregnancy announcement quickly sparked drama after a troll questioned whether she was using a surrogate.
Toke had shared an emotional maternity video, cradling her baby bump and announcing she is expecting her first child.
Fans and celebrities flooded the comments with congratulations, until Instagram user @ninistrends wrote, “Why do I feel it’s artificial and low-key a surrogate, but however tf I’m feeling congratulations to her.”
The comment caught actress Toyin Abraham’s attention, and she responded strongly:
“Some of you will suffer from your generation till your last generation. Ègún ò ní kúrò lórí ẹ, àbàshà yámayàma”, she blasted in Yoruba, essentially cursing the commenter for their insensitivity.
Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage also stepped in, taking a calmer but equally firm approach:
“You should probably delete your comment. Please just delete,” she advised.
