  • Tonto Dikeh has fulfilled a promise to support a JSS student she met during an evangelism outreach.
  • The actress visited the school, provided learning materials, gave the student’s father ₦1 million to start a business, and ordered 10 laptops for the school to support digital learning.

Nollywood actress and philanthropist Tonto Dikeh has warmed hearts online after fulfilling a promise she made to support a young student’s education.

The actress shared the update on her Instagram page, explaining that she had earlier met the Junior Secondary School (JSS) student during one of her evangelism outreaches and promised to sponsor his education up to the university level.

According to her, she recently returned to the school with members of her team to keep that promise.

While visiting the school, the actress said she met the boy’s father and provided several items to support the student’s education.

She explained that the team provided the student with essential school items, including new school bags and sandals. The actress also revealed that a few other students at the school benefited from the outreach.

“Last week, during our evangelism outreach in junior secondary school Durumi II, a promise was made to support a young boy’s education from JSS1 all the way to the university.
By God’s grace, my team and I returned to JSS Durumi2 on Monday to fulfil that promise.
We visited his school, met with his father, and provided him with new school bags, sandals, etc., and also extended support to a few other students.
Most importantly, I made the financial provision needed for him to continue his education without interruption throughout his junior secondary education.
But the story didn’t end there. While speaking with his father, a widower raising three children alone, I felt led to do more. I helped him start a small business he had always hoped to venture into with ₦1,000,000, so he could provide for his family with dignity and stability.
We are not stopping there; we have just ordered 10 laptops for the school to enable them to teach & enhance their students digitally.

This is what the Gospel looks like, not just words, but action”.
