Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has recounted an emotional experience revealing how her son, King Andre, unknowingly became the instrument that healed the rift between her and her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill.

While sharing her testimony at Streams of Joy International Church, the actress disclosed that a simple prayer made by her son and a heartfelt question he later asked helped dissolve over a decade of resentment she had carried.

Tonto explained that she and King Andre took part in the church’s 21-day fasting and prayer programme, during which participants were asked to submit seven prayer points. As a mother, she placed both her own list and her son’s on the altar. However, reading his requests left her deeply shaken.

One of King Andre’s prayers read: “God, I want the embassy to release my passport.”

Tonto revealed that the passport was not with any embassy, but in the possession of Churchill something she had deliberately hidden from her son for years.

She stated that just two days after presenting the prayer request, her ex-husband unexpectedly contacted her, expressing his desire to return all of their son’s documents. Although doubtful at first, Tonto said she felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to trust him.

That conversation forced her to finally tell her son the truth about his father for the first time in ten years.

According to the actress, King Andre listened quietly before asking a question that completely disarmed her. Unable to respond, she said her son answered himself, telling her that while he had forgiven his father, he was hurt she had kept the truth from him, adding that he now understood better.

Tonto described the moment as the collapse of years of suppressed anger, pain, and emotional barriers. Overcome with emotion, she said she broke down in tears as everything she had been holding onto came crashing down.

She further revealed that even influential figures, including former presidents, had previously attempted to intervene in the feud, but she had refused reconciliation due to deep-seated bitterness.

Today, Tonto says she now speaks to Churchill with respect something she never imagined she would be able to do. She concluded her testimony by saying she has found a peace that surpasses human understanding, describing it as unmistakably divine.

Her story has since sparked renewed conversations across the country about forgiveness, co-parenting, and the often unseen emotional impact children have in broken family situations.
