Nigerian music superstar Tiwa Savage has officially launched her charitable initiative, the Tiwa Savage Foundation, with videos and photos from the glamorous event quickly circulating online.
In one clip, Tiwa Savage was seen carrying her son, Jamil, as she made her way down the red carpet to the venue. She was accompanied by Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, with whom she shared moments enjoying the DJ’s playlist. The event attracted several prominent figures, including Bose Ogulu (Burna Boy’s mother and manager), Toke Makinwa, Mo Abudu, Don Jazzy, and other notable guests.
Tiwa Savage received attention for her fashion choice a floor-length, beaded gown that elegantly highlighted her figure, paired with a hairstyle that perfectly complemented her look.
During the festivities, Governor Sanwo-Olu was seen joining in on the dancing, grooving to the music alongside Tiwa and other attendees. His movements prompted some fans to wonder whether he recognized the songs being played. After a few minutes, he resumed his seat, applauding along with the rhythm.
Some social media users criticized the governor for being more visible at social events than at occasions addressing public concerns. Others joked that after attending the party, he should prioritize restoring electricity for residents, while some drew comparisons between his party attendance and that of other Nigerian governors.
