Tinubu’s Minister Urges UNN to Release His Transcript, Denies Certificate Forgery Allegation

  • Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, has urged UNN to release his academic transcript, insisting he graduated in 1985 with a Microbiology/Biochemistry degree.
  • He accused the university of politically motivated delays despite a court order, saying, “This is about protecting truth and institutional honour.”

Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji, has appealed to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), to release his academic transcript without delay.

Speaking through his spokesperson, Dr. Robert Ngwu, Nnaji maintained that he graduated from UNN in 1985 with a degree in Microbiology/Biochemistry, second-class lower division.

He accused the university of issuing conflicting reports about his records, describing it as “politically motivated.”

“The university must uphold its proud motto of restoring the dignity of man. This is not about one man’s record, it is about protecting truth, preserving institutional honour, and ensuring that no university becomes a pawn in partisan politics,” he said.

Despite a court order, UNN has yet to release the transcript. The Federal High Court in Abuja has adjourned the hearing of Nnaji’s suit against the university to November 10, 2025.

In other news…… A new update has surfaced regarding Nollywood actor Yul Edochie and his second wife, Judy Austin, amid ongoing rumors of a marital crisis.

According to Nollywood producer Stanley Ontop, Yul’s family has allegedly distanced themselves from him for “bringing shame and reproach” to the Edochie family. He also claimed the actor is currently involved in an affair with another woman.

Stanley wrote: “Ismili family have dissociated themselves from their aboriginal son, Yulian, for bringing shame and reproach to the Edo family. Julian is about to be dumped into a bin… There’s another feminine structure one side that is giving Yulian doggy in recent times.”

Yul Edochie had publicly introduced Judy Austin as his second wife in April 2022, a move that led his first wife, May, to file for divorce in August 2023, seeking ₦100 million in damages from Judy for alleged adultery.

Notably, the couple welcomed their first child on November 21, 2021
