President Bola Tinubu is in Kaduna State for a one-day official visit. Shortly after landing, he visited Aisha, widow of late former President Muhammadu Buhari, at the family house.
He was received by the former first lady and her family, and in his brief speech said: “The loss of flesh is not the loss of spirit, the spirit that he left with us is the spirit of hope, dedication, patriotism and honesty… we assure you and the family that we will continue the legacy of our leader and the spirit that he left behind will not be stained.”
During the visit, Tinubu is also scheduled to attend the wedding of Nasirudeen Yari, son of Senator Abdul’aziz Yari, and Safiyya Idris.
