Reality TV star Ka3na has called out fellow celebrities who pretend to be pregnant with fake baby bumps.
Taking to Instagram, the mother of one urged them to be honest with their fans about their paths to motherhood. She criticized the act of fabricating pregnancy stories when, in reality, surrogacy was involved.
Ka3na emphasized that choosing surrogacy is a valid and powerful decision, and there is no reason to hide it or feel ashamed.
“Dear Nigerian Public Figures (especially women), we are privileged to be more informed, more exposed, and better travelled. With that comes the responsibility to be honest with our followers.
“There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a baby through a surrogate. The child is 100% yours. So why deceive your fans by pretending to be pregnant?
“Take me for example: I had a traumatic pregnancy that left me with a deep fear of going through it again. If I ever choose to have another child, I hope to go through surrogacy. And there’s nothing shameful about that. We have platforms. We have influence. Let’s use them to share truth that helps, not just images that perform. And for the record, many of us mothers can see through the act. You’re not pregnant, and that’s okay. But the lie? It’s unnecessary”, she added.
