Popular cleric, Prophet Chukwuemeka Odumeje, has reacted to Davido’s loss at the 2026 Grammy Awards, offering words of encouragement to the Nigerian music star.

Speaking in a video that has since gone viral, Odumeje dismissed the importance of the Grammy trophy, insisting that Davido’s life, impact, and legacy already speak louder than any award.

“Davido has already received a generational award. No other award can add meaning to his life, his life itself is an award. Don’t let some ordinary trophy someone made steal your happiness. The world already knows you without a Grammy,” Odumeje said.

The cleric praised Davido’s influence, global recognition, and contribution to African music, noting that his success transcends trophies and titles. According to him, awards are symbolic and should not define an artist’s worth or happiness.
