“The Ratio of Men We’ve Got Left Feels Like Princesses” – BBNaija Star Uriel On Marriage

  • BBNaija star Uriel Oputa has revealed she is rethinking marriage, saying that while she would have eagerly agreed to marry five years ago, her outlook has changed due to her experiences with men she described as “inconsistent, egotistical, narcissistic, and manipulative.”
  • She added that she does not want to live under stress that could lead to health issues but remains hopeful that her own story will be different with God’s help.

Former Big Brother Naija star Uriel Oputa has sparked conversations online after sharing her candid thoughts about marriage and the type of men available today.

In a post on her Instagram stories, the reality TV star revealed that five years ago, or even three to four years ago, she would have eagerly said “yes” to marriage without hesitation.

However, Uriel admitted that her perspective has changed, noting that many of the men she has encountered seem inconsistent, egotistical, narcissistic, and manipulative — qualities she summed up as “princess-like.”

She explained that because of this, she now has to think twice before committing to marriage.

“If you had asked me 5 years ago, even 3 or 4 years ago, ‘Do you want to get married?’ I’d have said absolutely, 100% yes.
Ask me now? I’d have to think twice. Because the ratio of men we’ve got left feels like: inconsistent, egotistical, narcissistic, manipulative… princesses.”

Uriel also expressed concern about her peace of mind, saying she does not want to spend her life dealing with stress that could lead to health issues such as high blood pressure.

“And honestly, I’m not sure I want to spend the rest of my life on high blood pressure medication.”

Despite her doubts, the reality star concluded on a hopeful note, stating her faith in God that her story would be different.

“But hey – in God we trust. Mine will be different.”

Her post has since gone viral, with many fans weighing in on her views about modern-day relationships and marriage.
