A terrorist was caught on video displaying the money he had taken as ransom from his victims.
Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency specialist and security analyst in Lake Chad, shared the footage on Monday through a series of postings on his X account.
According to Makama, the account’s owner has over 3000 followers, some of them are bandits wearing military or police costumes and openly displaying their firearms.
He further regretted that the Tiktok platform has allowed militants to publicize their murderous campaign without any limits.
He wrote: “Audacity: Bandit on Tiktok flaunting and showing off ransom money he collected from his victims.
“The user of the account has 3000 followers, some of them are bandits who openly show off their rifles and are dressed in military or police uniforms.
“Tiktok platform has given room for insurgents to promote their campaign of terror without being restricted.”
