Ossai Ovie Success, a social media commentator and media aide to the Delta State Governor, has sparked online debate after criticizing former Senator Dino Melaye for wearing a high-end Fendi polo shirt valued at approximately £1,426 (around N2.6 million) during the “Save Democracy” protest in Abuja.

In a post shared on his social media account, Ossai expressed his disapproval, questioning the appropriateness of Melaye wearing such an expensive item while advocating for national improvements.

He argued that the cost of the shirt could instead fund initiatives to create employment opportunities for numerous young Nigerians facing high unemployment.

“I am disappointed in Dino Melaye for wearing a Fendi polo worth £1,426, equivalent to N2.6 million, to a protest and demanding a better Nigeria. That money could generate jobs for hundreds of youths. I am truly disappointed,” Ossai wrote, alongside a photo of Melaye at the protest.
