Nigerian singer Teni Apata has shared her reaction to Nigeria’s exit from the AFCON tournament following their semi-final defeat to Morocco.
The Super Eagles’ loss sparked strong reactions from fans and celebrities alike. In a video posted on her Instagram, Teni was seen receiving an IV drip while two nurses attended to her.
During the clip, the singer winced in pain from the injection and simultaneously expressed her frustration over Nigeria’s defeat. In a playful twist, Teni jokingly blamed Ghanaian dancehall artist Shatta Wale and Ghanaians for the outcome, suggesting that Ghana had betrayed Nigeria and would face consequences for it.
Teni also humorously addressed President Bola Tinubu, requesting a fighter jet to “avenge” the national team’s loss. She admitted that she had felt off ever since the Super Eagles’ match on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
Fans responded to her dramatic display with laughter, with some joking that the nurses should “inject her mouth” to calm her down. Others sympathized with singer Davido, who reportedly lost millions of naira betting on the game’s result.
