The decision comes after backlash over a controversial “Gender Swap Day”, which the university said violated its dress code and moral standards.
In a statement signed by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sunday Paul Bako, the management described the incidents as “regrettable” and blamed the SUG leadership for poor supervision.
Some students involved have reportedly been apprehended and will face disciplinary action or possible prosecution.
