- New Power Minister Joseph Tegbe has appealed to Nigerians to support President Tinubu and pray for the government, while claiming electricity supply has improved over the past four weeks.
- His comments have generated mixed reactions, with some supporting the administration and others insisting that improved power supply should be demonstrated through results rather than assurances.

Nigeria’s newly appointed Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe, has called on Nigerians to continue supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, while also urging citizens to pray for government officials.
According to Tegbe, electricity supply has shown noticeable improvement across the country in recent weeks.
“I’m calling on Nigerians should continue to support President Tinubu and also pray for us, in the last four weeks, electricity supply has improved across the country.”
Tegbe, who recently assumed office following the resignation of former Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu, said the government remains committed to improving power generation, transmission, and distribution.
However, his remarks have sparked mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians questioning the claim of improved electricity supply and arguing that public officials should focus on delivering results rather than requesting prayers from citizens.
