Nigeria’s Super Falcons touched down in Abuja on Monday, July 28, to a hero’s welcome following their thrilling 3‑2 victory over Morocco in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) final.

The team arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport around midday, where they were met by a jubilant crowd of fans, government officials, and well-wishers eager to celebrate their historic win.

As part of the celebrations, the champions will embark on a trophy parade across major parts of the capital, including Airport Road, Berger Junction, Maitama, and Wuse Market, giving fans a chance to see the coveted WAFCON trophy up close.

The festivities will culminate at the Presidential Villa, where President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to host the squad in an official ceremony honoring their remarkable achievement.
