She is a Nigerian gospel music artist and actress.
Mercy Nnenda Chinwo was born on 5 September 1990 in Port Harcourt, Rivers state. She is the fourth child in a family of five (first daughter). Chinwo got involved in music at a very early age, being a member of the children’s choir in her church and transitioning to the adult choir prior to launching her musical career. Chinwo’s father died when she was young.
She started her musical career by lending her vocals to musical projects by gospel music artistes such as Sammie Okposo, Joe Praize, Buchi, Chris Morgan, and Preye.
Mercy Chinwo released her first single, “Testimony”, in 2015, and “Igwe” a year later.
In 2017, Mercy Chinwo signed to Gospel Music Label EeZee Conceptz.
She made an appearance in popular gospel artist’s video Sinach “He did it again” and after that she started experiencing tremendous growth and prosperity in her musical career.
Words have it that she connected and tapped from the powerful gospel artist’s anointing and that’s what’s working for her till this day.
Everyone who knows Sinach, knows that she is the most powerful, highly anointed and influential gospel artist from Africa whose songs are gradually taking over the world.
