The gifted forward for the Al-Nassr football team, Sadio Mane, married his 19-year-old fiancée, Aisha Tamba, last weekend in a lavish wedding that took place in Dakar, Senegal.
The wonderful event occurred only one week before the highly anticipated start of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
After the event, the former Liverpool player—who is now well-known in Al-Nassr—spoke with the local media to convey his appreciation and satisfaction for the tremendous support he has received.
Sadio Mane emphasized how honored he was to receive the president of the nation’s greetings.
“Honestly, I am happy [with] the fact the president has congratulated me just as much as, well, I would say not just my teammates.
“I think that all the people have congratulated me and wished me [luck] so I am happy and I hope that it will be okay,” Sadio Mane said.
Given that the wedding took place just a few days before Sadio Mane is scheduled to compete for his country in the 2023 AFCON, there have been questions raised over the timing of the event.
Despite the close closeness of the events, Sadio Mane was unfazed and exuded happiness as he expressed his thoughts on the well-wishes that were flooding in from all directions.
