A viral clip has captured the comical moment popular Nigerian skit maker Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, widely known as Sabinus, came face-to-face with his uncanny double.
The Port Harcourt–born comedian attended an event where he was introduced to a man who looked strikingly like him. The lookalike arrived dressed in Sabinus’ trademark blue shirt and even sported the comedian’s signature hairstyle.
On seeing the man, Sabinus was visibly stunned and let out a loud exclamation of disbelief, shouting, “Holy Ghost fire!”
Adding to the fun, the double held a placard bearing Sabinus’ photo to welcome him to Sierra Leone. Sabinus greeted his impersonator with a hearty handshake and jokingly quipped that this version of him looked like he was “suffering.”
It turns out the doppelgänger is also a comic performer, mimicking Sabinus’ persona and content style.
Celebrity lookalikes are becoming increasingly common, with some fans going beyond simple resemblance to fully imitate the stars’ appearance. Social media has seen similar cases with famous singers like Davido and Wizkid.
Online commenters flooded the video’s comment section, marveling at the near-twin resemblance between the two men.
