Popular Yoruba actor and filmmaker Rotimi Salami has revealed details of a new movie he worked on with the late Allwell Ademola before her passing.

In an emotional video shared on Sunday, February 8, Rotimi who shared a close bond with Allwell became visibly moved as he spoke about the project titled Kilanko: The Invisible Child.

He announced that the film is scheduled to hit cinemas on March 6, 2026, with its official premiere set for March 1. Rotimi explained that he served as the producer, while the late Allwell Ademola directed the movie, highlighting their strong partnership and her passion for telling stories that honour the strength and resilience of African women.

Reflecting on their unfinished journey, Rotimi said in the video, “It is quite unfortunate that two people had a plan of something great, but it is just one person that is here right now.”

Allwell Ademola, a respected Nollywood actress and filmmaker, passed away on December 27, 2025, at the age of 49.
