Reno Omokri has mocked Peter Obi on social media for visiting the home of late former President Muhammadu Buhari a day after his burial.
Taking to his X account, Reno referred to Obi’s visit as “medicine after death.”
He wrote ” Going to Daura a day after Buhari’s burial because you were dragged on social media for your absence at the funeral is medicine after death! The message to Arewa has already been passed and understood!”
In other news….. Nollywood actress and filmmaker Mary Remmy Njoku has raised serious concerns about the potency of medications sold in Nigeria. She took to her social media page to share a personal experience that left her alarmed, urging the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) to take immediate action.
In her words:
“Nigerian medications are losing their potency!!!!!
What exactly are we being sold in Nigeria? What’s going on with our drugs?
Imagine taking medication, believing you’ll get better. And then dying from something completely treatable, simply because the drugs didn’t work.
Ha!!! NAFDAC HELP!!!”
The actress recounted falling ill from food poisoning while working on a film set. She took a well-known anti-diarrheal drug, purchased from a leading pharmacy in Nigeria, but after three days without any improvement, she became worried.
According to Njoku, it wasn’t until she took just one tablet of the same medication this time brought from abroad by her husband that she experienced rapid relief within minutes. Her experience has sparked conversations around drug quality and the role of regulatory authorities in ensuring public safety.
