A WhatsApp conversation between a 12-year-old boy and a girl has sparked reactions online after going viral on TikTok.

In the chat, the boy, introducing himself as Sanchez, opens up to the girl, Amaka, about his feelings for her.

He also asks if she is materialistic, explaining, “I like you and I want us to be friends but before that, I hope you are not materialistic because I’m a student and I live out from my mum’s pocket.”

Amaka replied with laughing emojis and assured him, “No, I’m not.”
