Zimbabwean cleric, Prophet T. Mapisarema, has stirred controversy after claiming he resurrected a woman three days after her death.
Mapisarema, whose real name is Tichaona Garavada, said the incident happened at a funeral in Harare, leaving mourners in shock. He recounted arriving at the home where the woman’s body had been kept for three days before the alleged miracle occurred.
“I did not come with my own power. It was God working through me. When I entered, people were already crying at the funeral. But I prayed, and the woman who had been de@d for three days rose up,” he said.
According to him, the woman regained consciousness and stood up, leaving mourners in shock before the mood turned to celebration. Eyewitnesses also described the event as a miracle.
“We had lost hope but when Prophet T Mapisarema prayed, it was as if life returned to her body. We saw a miracle with our own eyes,” said one relative.
The self-proclaimed prophet, who leads the “KwaTicha” ministry in Domboshava, claims this isn’t his first experience with divine miracles.
“I have seen people come to me incapacitated to the last level. Some were almost de@d but, after prayer, they walked. The blind have had their eyes opened. I am not saying these things for my own glory. The glory must go to God,” he added.
The prophet admitted his claims have faced backlash, with some accusing him of using dark powers. He said even as a child, people called him a Satanist due to mysterious incidents, but insists his power comes from God.
Mapisarema also shared that his calling began through a dream where he was given a key marked “Psalms” and told he would receive songs with prophetic and healing power.
“I dreamt I was given a key written ‘Psalms.’ A voice told me I would sing songs and, through those songs, healing and prophecy would come. I do not write these songs, they come to me in dreams. We sing, people are healed, and prophecy flows,” he explained.
