Prince Rakeem Mkambala, the newborn son of Nollywood star Priscilla Ojo and Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, became an online sensation shortly after his arrival as his Instagram page gained over 50,000 followers within just an hour.
His grandmother, actress Iyabo Ojo, broke the news of his birth on social media, posting a touching picture of Priscilla and her baby at the hospital, both in good health. She also disclosed that an official Instagram account had been set up for her grandson.
Within 30 minutes of the announcement, the page had already attracted over 36,000 followers, and not long after, the number skyrocketed past 55,000.
The viral growth has sparked a wave of reactions online. Many fans congratulated the family and expressed their joy, while others criticized Nigerians for what they called misplaced attention.
One X user, @your_Favxparte, ridiculed the trend, writing: “36,400 mumu and jobless people. Na Tinubu and the likes really fit them.” Another, @workof_Godd, echoed the sentiment with: “Nigerian people too mumu 😂.”
