Siraheem Okoya, son of renowned Nigerian businessman and Eleganza Group founder Chief Razaq Okoya, has sparked widespread debate online after sharing his thoughts on wealth, success, and personal growth.

In a viral conversation that circulated on social media, the billionaire’s son suggested that a person’s financial situation is less important than their state of mind. Speaking during a livestream with popular content creator Carter Efe, Siraheem encouraged young Nigerians to reframe their thinking if they truly want to break free from financial hardship.

According to him, the human mind plays the most critical role in creating prosperity, with one’s external circumstances reflecting internal thought patterns. He stressed that people must consciously harness their mental capacity to achieve success.

“Poverty starts in the mind. To succeed, you have to raise your level of thinking. God has given us the most powerful instrument the brain and it’s your responsibility to use it. Once you change how you think, your reality begins to change,” he said.

While some social media users praised his message as motivating and empowering, others were quick to criticize it, describing the remarks as disconnected from the everyday realities of most Nigerians.

Critics argued that Siraheem’s privileged background shields him from the harsh economic challenges faced by many, noting that deep-rooted systemic issues cannot be solved by mindset alone.

Amid the criticism, Siraheem defended his position, emphasizing that he strives to be self-reliant and earns his own income rather than depending entirely on his family’s wealth.
