Media personality Kolu has appealed to fellow content creator Carter Efe for a ₦7 million loan to secure the release of controversial singer Portable, who was recently taken into police custody.

Kolu made the appeal during a live Twitch stream where both men were interacting with viewers. In the course of the broadcast, he openly asked Carter Efe for the funds, explaining that the money was needed to bail Portable out of jail.

According to Kolu, Portable was arrested over allegations bordering on assault and other offences. When Carter Efe questioned his deep concern for the singer, Kolu explained that Portable played a major role in his rise to fame.

He revealed that Portable brought him to Lagos and helped introduce him to opportunities that gave him visibility, stressing that the singer was instrumental in turning his life around.

“Portable brought me to Lagos, I come blow. Na him help my life…”
