Nigerian street-hop artiste Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has dropped a diss track aimed at his fourth baby mama, Ashabi Simple, and members of her family.
The song was released shortly after their messy public disagreement and appears to be the singer’s way of responding to the allegations against him, explaining his side of the feud, and reacting to claims involving Ashabi’s mother.
Portable shared a video of the track on Instagram, where he was seen dancing excitedly as the music played. In the lyrics, the “Zazuu” crooner called out Ashabi and took a swipe at her mother, whom he accused of demanding that he buy her a car. He also challenged Ashabi to ask her father whether he had ever purchased such a gift for her mother, while hinting at unresolved issues between them.
The diss track comes amid reports of a tense confrontation between the singer and Ashabi Simple. During the altercation, Ashabi was alleged to have made a shocking statement that further fueled online reactions and intensified the controversy.
Prior to the song’s release, Portable had accused Ashabi of storming his residence and attacking his household. He claimed his pregnant wife, Bewaji, was assaulted during the incident and alleged that weapons were pointed at his children. He also stated that Ashabi’s mother accused him of spiritually influencing her daughter and questioned why he had not bought her a car.
In response, Ashabi gave her own version of events, explaining that she and her siblings had visited Portable’s home to celebrate the New Year when the situation reportedly turned chaotic. She alleged that the singer became aggressive, physically assaulted her, threatened them with an axe, and seized their phones.
Ashabi further claimed that her younger brother and sister were also assaulted during the confrontation. According to earlier reports by Legit.ng, she and her siblings later filed a police complaint over the incident. She added that although the police reportedly visited Bewaji, Portable was no longer at the scene when authorities arrived.
