Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has provided an update on the ongoing legal proceedings involving tech entrepreneur BLORD, as the dispute over his bail application continues in court.
According to Sowore, BLORD’s legal team has filed a bail application, which has been formally opposed by the police. He added that the legal back-and-forth has continued with further filings from both sides.
“BLORD’s lawyers have filed a ba!l application, the police have also filed a counter affidavit to oppose his ba!l, and now his lawyers have filed a further and better affidavit. That’s the current situation now,” he said.
The matter reportedly began after BLORD was arrested following actions involving social media critic VeryDarkMan, popularly known as VDM. The arrest triggered widespread online debate, with supporters questioning the circumstances surrounding the detention and the allegations that followed.
Since then, the situation has escalated into a legal confrontation, with BLORD’s lawyers seeking bail while authorities continue to resist the application through formal court processes.
The case remains ongoing as the court considers the filings from both parties.
