The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the suspected murder of Mr. Adeniran Ezekiel Imoleayo, Registrar of the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo, who was allegedly poisoned by two unknown assailants at his residence in Akure on July 16, 2025.
Police say Adeniran was attacked after stepping out to check a noise on his roof. He was found unconscious by his driver and later confirmed dead at the Police Hospital in Akure.
One suspect has been arrested and handed over to the Anti-Kidnapping Squad, while investigations continue. Adeniran was appointed UNIMED Registrar in August 2024 and assumed office in January 2025.
