- Pete Edochie’s family has contacted the DSS to arrest a TikToker who falsely announced the actor’s death.
- His son Leo Edochie described the rumour as false and offered a cash reward for information that could lead to the suspect’s arrest.

The family of veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has reportedly contacted the Department of State Services (DSS), seeking the arrest of a TikToker who allegedly spread false claims about the actor’s death online.
The move follows widespread circulation of a viral report that claimed the screen legend had passed away a claim quickly debunked by both his family and management.
His first son, Leo Edochie, had earlier addressed the rumour in a video shared on his Instagram page, dismissing it as completely false. He described the report as “a lie from the pit of hell.”
In a Facebook post on Thursday evening, Leo revealed that he had escalated the matter to security authorities and also announced a cash reward for anyone who can provide useful information leading to the TikToker’s arrest.
While sharing a photo of the suspect, he wrote:
“This young man posted a video on TikTok that our father is de@d. His handle is @ONE_BOR 001.
“Anyone with information that will lead to his arrest will be handsomely rewarded in cash. I have contacted DSS and they are on his trail.
“DM me with the information, as soon as he is arrested, you will get your reward in cash.”
