Nollywood actress Sunshine Rosman has voiced strong concerns over the state of the nation, particularly rising insecurity and economic hardship across Nigeria.
In a recent outburst shared online, the actress questioned what she described as growing silence and inaction in the face of worsening conditions affecting many Nigerians.
Speaking on the challenges facing the country, she highlighted issues such as poverty, poor infrastructure, and the increasing displacement of communities due to insecurity, especially in parts of Northern Nigeria.
“When are we going to wake up as Nigerians? When is it finally going to be enough?” she asked.
Rosman further lamented the economic situation, suggesting that the scale of hardship has made it difficult to even begin addressing other pressing concerns.
“We can’t even begin to talk about the economy right now, the poverty rates. We can’t begin to talk about the lack of infrastructure in this country. That’s not bad enough,” she said.
She also drew attention to ongoing violence in the North, noting that many residents have been forced to flee their homes due to repeated attacks.
“People and Christians in the North are constantly being slaughtered. Lives are being lost for nothing. But people have to migrate from their towns, from their homes, from their villages, because they know that nothing will be done,” she added.
Describing the situation as abnormal, the actress expressed deep frustration over the continued loss of lives and what she perceives as a lack of decisive response.
“I swear it’s not normal. I swear to God this is not normal,” she said.
