During the prayer, the pastor fiercely pleaded against the Dollar’s fluctuation against the Naira, begging for financial stability in Nigeria while demanding the foreign currency to crash.
“I stand in my office as a prophet; right now, one dollar equals 1,800 naira or whatever; now hear me dollar, my name is Chibueze Ozeokieze, and I operate from heaven. When Dollar hears my voice, he will die in the name of Jesus Christ.
However, many netizens were unable to ignore the truth that the present exchange rate is driven by economic causes rather than spiritual interventions. Many people believe that government intervention would be required to regulate it instead.
Some critics also criticised the pastor’s congregation for their apparent naivety in agreeing to the prayer.
