Nigerian media personality Abisoye Olukoya Michael, popularly known as Oyemykke, has shared his thoughts on the viral interview of Nollywood star Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, famously called Omosexy.
During the interview, the mother of four revealed that she had once received a car from a male admirer, and her husband reportedly did not mind. She explained that her spouse is confident and felt no issue with her accepting the gift.
In response, Oyemykke posted a video on his Instagram page expressing that, while he admires Omotola, he personally would never allow his wife, partner, or fiancée to accept such a present. He explained that he is an insecure person and believes that nothing truly comes free in today’s world.
He further mentioned that receiving a gift from a family friend or someone close would be understandable, but accepting a present from a complete stranger, especially a man, would not sit well with him. Raising his voice during the clip, he also asked his followers how they would handle a similar situation.
The video sparked mixed reactions among his fans. Some agreed with Oyemykke’s perspective, with one woman noting that Omotola’s husband does not appear controlling and suggesting that past statements by the actress might reflect the dynamics of her marriage. Meanwhile, a man commented that, since the identity of the admirer was not disclosed, it could simply have been a well-meaning fan with no hidden motives.

@themidebrain:”Can she also allow her husband buy car gift for another married woman?”
@abonmotunrayo:”She made it known a longggggg time ago that “just because they are married doesn’t mean she’s stagnant. I shock, it’s more of like an open marriage to her …the man dread her dieeeee… he doesn’t have one single control over her. I felt sorry for him from that very day.”
@king__dhavid:”Just because her husband accepted it doesn’t mean he’s cool with it, he might just let her accept the gifts for peace to reign in the home……men do this everytime and act like everything is cool but deep down we know we don’t like it at all.”
