Revenue from the recently concluded Ojude Oba 2025 festival has sparked widespread reactions online after figures revealed the event generated billions of naira.
In an interview with Obi Asika, Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), a key organizer, Mr. Steeze, described this year’s edition as the most elaborate yet, attracting a crowd that far exceeded the event’s capacity.
Highlighting the scale and success of the event, Mr. Steeze revealed that over ₦2 billion was generated during the festivities. He further mentioned that CNN reported an estimated $10 million (approximately ₦15 billion) in revenue was generated across Ijebu during the festival period.

The Ojude Oba 2025 festival, which took place on June 8, was graced by high-profile personalities including Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and the Minister of Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa.
