Ondo lady, Chef Deo crosses 5-hour mark, aims to break Hilda Baci’s record

Adeyeye Adeola, also known as Chef Deo, a Nigerian chef, is currently attempting to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual after Hilda Baci.

Adeola’s cook-a-thon began on June 30, 2023, in Ondo State’s Ile-Oluji Local Government Area and is scheduled to end on July 6, 2023.

This achievement comes after another Nigerian chef, Adeparusi Damilola, also known as Chef Dammy, recently concluded a 120-hour cook-a-thon in the Oye Local Government Area of Ekiti State with the goal of pushing the boundaries of culinary endurance.

Hilda Effiong Bassey, also known as Hilda Baci, currently holds the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon (individual), with a time of 93 hours and 11 minutes.

Her record-breaking attempt took place from May 11 to May 15, and she prepared over 100 pots of food in four days.

Following a thorough review of the evidence, the Guinness World Records officially recognized Hilda Baci’s achievement.

If Adeyeye Adeola completes his planned 150-hour cook-a-thon, he will break Hilda Baci’s record and set a new world record for the longest individual cooking marathon.

Hours after the commencement of the event, a Nigerian identified as Alakowe took to his media page to react.

He wrote “Another chef from Ile Oluji, Ondo State Chef Deo, commences her 150hrs cook-a-thon to break Hilda Baci’s current record. She has cooked for 5hrs 40mins now.”

Another Nigerian chef, Adeyeye Adeola set to begin 150-hour cook-a-thon

Another Nigerian chef, Adeyeye Adeola, is about to embark on a fantastic gastronomic journey as she prepares to compete in a 150-hour cook-off.

Adeola wants to surpass the culinary accomplishments of chefs Damilola Adeparusi and Hilda Baci, who currently hold the coveted Guinness World Record.

Adeola, who has a strong ambition to make her name in the culinary world, hopes to win the championship and gain international recognition for her amazing cooking abilities.

Adeola aims to demonstrate her culinary expertise, originality, and endurance by competing in this difficult cook-off.

The 150-hour cook-off promises to be a physically and mentally demanding experience, needing Adeola to show unshakable attention, precision, and stamina.

This ambitious project displays her dedication to pushing the frontiers of culinary excellence and breaking industry records.

As news of Adeola’s quest for the Guinness World Record spreads, anticipation and excitement are building among food enthusiasts and supporters of Nigerian talent.
