Ondo Beer Parlour Operator Arrested for Stealing Goats to Make Pepper Soup

A 56-year-old beer parlour operator in Ondo State, Ayo Akinpelu, has been arrested by Amotekun operatives in Ipetu-Ijesa for stealing goats used in preparing pepper soup for his customers.

He was caught after residents flagged down his Lexus Jeep and discovered a stolen goat inside. Upon interrogation, Akinpelu confessed, admitting he had been stealing goats for over seven years.

“I sed the stolen goat to prepare pepper soup and served unsuspecting customers at my beer parlour in Ondo town. I tricked the goat with salt, which rendered them less aggressive before putting them in the car.

The suspect also admitted to regularly traveling to Osun communities to steal goats for his business.

Osun Amotekun Commander, Isaac Omoyele, confirmed the arrest and commended Ipetu-Ijesa residents for their swift action.

The video, which has gone viral on social media, shows the rider identified as a Hausa man from Northern Nigeria being stopped by the group. They handed him a toothbrush along with a sachet of water.

At first puzzled by the gesture, the rider eventually went along and received guidance on brushing his teeth to improve his breath. Afterward, the group asked him to show his teeth, proudly noting how much cleaner and brighter they looked.

One of the young men captioned the clip: “Omo🤣 Ekpoma bike men no go kill person for with mouth odour🤦‍♂️💔😞. Abi we for bath am true true🤣?”
