The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, has shared his recent experience while renewing his international passport, describing Canada as “the best of the best countries in the world.”

In a video that has surfaced online, the monarch explained that his old passport had developed holes, prompting him to apply for a fresh one with a 10-year validity. While recounting the process, Oba Akanbi praised the efficiency of the Canadian system, noting the ease and orderliness with which the renewal was handled.

His remarks have since generated reactions on social media, with many Nigerians weighing in on his glowing endorsement of the North American country.

Speaking with excitement, he said: “There I go. My passport has only expired yet. It will expire next year. But I give it feet because it’s 10 years from here. I give it feet to come and renew my passport. It’s a 24-hour service.

“I renew my passport from this old one. And you can see they have to punch holes on that. So I got a new one. Another 10 years has brought a new high of the best country in the world. Nigeria is going to be best too.

“But right now, believe me, Canada is the best of the best country in the world. I love Canada. I love it.”
